Business Agility (BVSSH) Value Outcome Leadership

This course builds on the Business Agility Patterns & Antipatterns class and provides clarity about the roles, responsibilities and behaviours required to achieve greater value from your product development activities.

The role based training course is suitable for: Product Owners, Value Outcome Leads, Value Stream Leads, Programme Leads and others in a value delivery role. Whatever your background this course helps individuals move to a more strategic and outcome focussed delivery approach.

Gain hands on experience of core techniques relating to customer experience, journey design and measurable hypotheses, as well as road mapping, visualisation, prioritisation and the cadence of events needed to maintain focus and fast feedback. This remote course is engaging and practical to help you optimise for value delivery, increasing the value your product delivers

Who is this class for?

Value Outcome Leadership is aimed at anyone seeking to increase the value delivered by their product(s) and/or product development initiative(s)

This includes: existing or aspiring Product Owners, Value Outcome Leads, Value Stream Leads, Portfolio Managers, Programme Managers, Platform Managers, Service Owners and Business Owners of Products/Services:

  • Value Stream Leads: to gain clarity about behaviours and practices to be established across the product owner population within your value stream and how you as a leader can support value optimisation
  • Product Owners / Value Outcome Leads / Service Owners: to learn about mapping the customer experience and generating an outcome focussed product roadmap. Use leading indicators to enable an experimental approach of probe/sense/respond. Role model the behaviours needed to lead a high performance product team. Establish a product canvas to support prioritisation and maintain transparency across all stakeholders.
  • Programme or Project Leads: to achieve change and optimise the value delivered by your initiative in a complex environment there is a need for value outcome leadership to exist within your initiative

  • Ways of Working Leads / Agile Leads / Coaches (Product / Agility):  to gain clarity of the expected role and behaviours needed to optimise for value delivery, irrespective of the framework your organisation has chosen to use.
